Parasite

we walk like grotesque ghosts
bound together with bloodied flesh
our faces entwined into plastered grins
pouring tears into our open chests

we walk for weeks and months and years
open wounds exposed on the merciless time
each hour like an eon, each year like eternity
travellers through cobweb made of grief

we walk not understood, me and my soul
my twin sister torn from my body with silver razors
my heart, my brother that never ceases to weep
screaming when this parasite eats it from the inside out
